Connected Kerb launches ‘easy-to-install’ public EV charge point

Electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure provider Connected Kerb has launched a new charging point for drivers that don’t have driveways.

Called ‘The Chameleon’, the company has stated it is made mostly from recycled steel, manufactured in the UK and is the smallest dual charger for on-street charging in the market.

Due to it only being a metre tall, Connected Kerb claims it is not subject to planning permission, helping with rollout.

The Chameleon is compatible with 5G, IoT technologies and air quality sensors – and due to its size, the business believes it can be readily installed before EV demand rises, with less need for ground excavation.
