Tata teams up to bring hydrogen engines to India

Tata has signed an agreement with US engine maker Cummins to develop hydrogen engines for electric vehicles (EV).

India is looking to hit net zero by 2070, with Tata Motors turning to produce more zero-emission vehicles to contribute towards this milestone.

Cummins will provide the Indian carmaker with its hydrogen engines as part of the deal, making India the first global market to receive.

Tata released its first EV costing less than $10,000 (£8,400) to the domestic market in September.
