Electric Hondas to feature PlayStation 5s?

Sony and Honda have signed a joint venture that will see electric cars released with built-in PS5 hardware.

Sony’s Mobility President Izumi Kawanishi revealed that the company is looking to help build cars that include a high-quality entertainment service.

“Sony has content, services and entertainment technologies that move people. We are adapting these assets to mobility and this is our strength against Tesla,” he stated.

Continuing on why he believes Honda’s with PlayStation systems built-in will make their cars more marketable than Elon Musk’s, he continued: “Tesla is not providing any content services. To enjoy the space in your car, you have to make it a space where you don’t need to drive.”

He explained that autonomous driving was the next step in Sony Honda Mobility’s research – with the company hopeful that PS5-packed cars will hit roads in the US by 2025.
